In order to be considered for accreditation survey by Acreditas Global, an organization has to meet all the following criteria. Each organization is considered on a case-by-case basis.
The organization must:
1 Have been providing healthcare services for at least six months before the on-site survey, with the exception of organizations that are looking for accreditation by an Early Option Survey or EOS. 2 Be a legally constituted entity that provides healthcare services, or a sub-unit that provides services that’s part of a bigger organization. 3 Be in compliance with all laws and regulations, especially those related to healthcare and services that apply to the jurisdiction where the organization is located. 4 Have the appropriate license for providing healthcare services required by the jurisdiction where the organization is located if such a license is required by law, except for organizations that are looking for accreditation as a way to obtain that license. 5 Provide healthcare services under the direction of one or more of the following health care professionals, who should be legally responsible by their local laws for the healthcare services provided by the organization:- Doctor of medicine or osteopathy (MD/DO)
- Doctor of dental surgery or dental medicine (DDS/DMD)
- Doctor of podiatric medicine (DPM)
- Doctor of optometry (OD)
- Doctor of chiropractic (DC)
- Advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), practicing in compliance with state law and regulation
- Licensed clinical behavioral health professional in a behavioral health setting
Acreditas Global reserves the right to reject any application. If Acreditas Global determines that the standards of its accreditation process cannot be applied by the organization, it will inform the organization that no onsite-survey will be conducted and the reasons for the decision. If a survey is conducted and during the survey Acreditas Global determines that the standards cannot be applied, the survey will be deemed a consultation and the organization will not receive accreditation. Fees will not be refunded.
