Terms of Accreditation

Three Years

Acreditas Global awards accreditation for three years if after the survey it concludes that the organization is in compliance with the Standards of Acreditas Global, and Acreditas Global has no reservations about the commitment of the organization. An organization might receive intra-cycle activities to perform during those three years in order to qualify for continuous compliance.

Interim Survey

Interim surveys are conducted for organizations that currently have Acreditas Global accreditation but that require oversight in order to establish ongoing compliance. After an interim survey, the company’s accreditation status can be kept or revoked.

Organizations that qualify for an Early Option Survey (EOS) receive a three-year accreditation process if the surveyor and Acreditas Global determine they comply with the standards. However, they must take an interim survey that will take into account all the core and applicable adjunct standards. After the interim survey, the company’s accreditation status can be kept or revoked.

Any organization that is owned by a solo health provider and either the organization or the health care provider is under legal investigation, especially one that relates to healthcare services, or has its practice license on probationary status will be required to undergo an interim survey each year until the situation is regularized or the license is not in probationary status. In such cases, a survey fee will be charged.
